Cheer Perfection on TLC

Hey bloggers! I'm very sorry that I haven't posted in a long time! :( Well, last night there was a special on TLC, it was called "Cheer Perfection," It was about how stressful tryouts are, how injuries can make a difference, how parent drama is very crazy, and what can happen throughout the cheer season. CheerTime Revolution is the gym who was featured on the show. The gym has 3 locations in Arkansas; Sherwood, Jonesboro, and the newest one in West Helena.

Alisha Dunlap is the coach in the show. She coaches all of the gyms, but in the show she was only filmed in the Sherwood location. The team that was being made was on the show called the Junior Silver team, but on the website it is the Junior Black. Making the Silver was the biggest deal for everyone even the parents. The parents had made a "Status" of each other by what team there child made, so they all wanted to make the Silver team.

In the show, there's drama and what not, the image that the show had shown of cheerleading isn't really a good image. Cheerleadings about being loyal to each other, trying your hardest, getting new skills, working as a team, and just to become a family. The show had shown more parent drama then actual cheerleading. The parent drama isn't always true, some gyms like mine, the parents for the most part love each other!

Alisha, the coach, is the dream coach of lots of newer gyms! She is the one coach who strives for the best, she wants the best, she gets the best! She is the coach who is always tough on you, but for a reason, she wants you to be the best you can! Alisha also has a heart, the best example is for Brooke, a 13 year-old cheerleader, during the show, Brooke had gone to the hospital to see a spine specialist because, shes been having some back pains for a long time. During the visit, her mom had cried her heart out, she was so nervous, but in the end, Brooke had been cleared by her doctor to do standing tumbling. At tryouts, Brooke only did a roll for tumbling, but she spoke her heart out in front of Alisha and her husband, and that's when Alisha went up to her, and started to cry a little and hugged her! That was the best part of the whole show for me!

This blog made a wonderful post about the show! Check it out! They had put their thoughts into the whole post, just like I did, but they had put so much detail into the post, really check it out!:)

Thanks for reading, this is Riley! Have a good summer and Cheer On!
